Rachel McCardell, a junior at Northwestern, won her section of the women's collegiate 5,000 meters by clocking 16:22.66 at the 62nd Mt. SAC Relays Presented by Nike at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif. McCardell finished 11th overall from both sections combined.
